Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Air filter

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Filter element

1.1. Removing

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.

Remove :

• The engine cover (1)
• The protector (2)

Uncouple :

• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "a")
• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "b")
• The oil vapour heater(at "c")

Remove :

• The bolt (4)
• The union (3) of the turbocharger air inlet

Uncouple the oil vapours recirculation pipe (at "d").

Remove :

• The bolts (5)
• The air filter housing cover (6)

Remove the filter element (7).

1.2. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Refit :

• The filter element (7)
• The air filter housing cover (6)
• The bolts (5)
• The oil vapours recirculation pipe ‎(at "d")

Refit :

• The union (3) of the turbocharger air inlet
• The bolt (4)

Couple up :

• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "a")
• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "b")
• The oil vapour heater(at "c")

Refit :

• The protector (2)
• The engine cover (1)

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.

2. Air filter housing

2.1. Removing

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.

Remove :

• The engine cover (1)
• The protector (2)

Uncouple :

• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "a")
• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "b")
• The oil vapour heater(at "c")

Remove :

• The bolt (4)
• The union (3) of the turbocharger air inlet

Uncouple the oil vapours recirculation pipe (at "d").

Remove :

• The bolts (5)
• The air filter housing cover (6)

Remove the filter element (7).

Remove :

• The bolts
• The air inlet duct (8)

Unclip the vacuum pipe(at "e").

Uncouple the vacuum pipe (at "f").

Remove the bolts (11).

Raise the air filter housing (10).

Remove the air filter housing (10) (To the right ) (In the direction of the arrow ).

2.2. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

CAUTION : Check that the rubber bushes (12) are in place.

Refit :

• The air filter (10) housing
• The bolts (11)

Couple up the vacuum pipe (at "f").

Clip the vacuum pipe (at "e").

Refit :

• The air inlet duct (8)
• The bolts
• The filter element (7)
• The air filter housing cover (6)
• The bolts (5)
• The oil vapours recirculation pipe ‎(at "d")
• The union (3) of the turbocharger air inlet
• The bolt (4)

Couple up :

• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "a")
• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "b")
• The oil vapour heater(at "c")

Refit :

• The protector (2)
• The engine cover (1)

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.
