Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Bonnet opening control

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

3. Preliminary operations

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries (depending on equipment).

Remove :

• The front bumper
• The headlamps
• The front pillar ‎ trim ‎ (Driver’s side)

4. Removing

4.1. Front bumper deflector

4.2. Bonnet lock

4.3. Bonnet release cable

N.B. : (*) Identify visually the path of the cable (Engine compartment).

N.B. : (*) Identify visually the path of the cable (Passenger compartment side).

5. Refitting

Proceed in the reverse order to removal.

When refitting, take care with the positioning of the grommet .

Respect the path of the cable .

N.B. : Before closing the bonnet check that the opening control and the lock are operating correctly.

Adjust the fits and clearances.

6. Additional operations

Refit :

• The headlamps
• The front bumper
• The front pillar ‎ trim ‎ (Driver’s side)

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries (depending on equipment).

7. Check

Check the operation of the various equipment.
