Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Engine cooling radiator

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required before disconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Disconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure ).

Drain the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Remove :

• The front wheels
• The under-engine protector
• The front mud guards
• The front bumper deflector
• The front bumper
• The front bumper upper frame
• The front bumper frame
• The controlled air inlet module
• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit radiator
• The fan assembly

2. Removing

CAUTION : Do not open the cooling system.

Remove :

• The bolt (4)
• The bolt (3)
• The securing clip ( 2)

Unclip and move aside the air conditioning condenser ( 1)(at "a") (Without opening the air conditioning circuit ).

Remove the bolt (6) (Cooling pipe (7) ).

Disconnect the pipes ( 8), (9).

Remove the engine cooling radiator (5) from above.

3. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Tightening torques :

• Cooling system
• Wheels

CAUTION : Position the engine cooling radiator (5) studs (at "b").

Reposition the engine cooling radiator (5).

Connect the pipes ‎ (8), (9).

Refit the bolt (6).

Reclip the air conditioning condenser (1)(at "a").

Refit :

• The securing clip ( 2)
• The bolt (3)
• The bolt (4)

4. Additional operations

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Refit :

• The fan assembly
• The hybrid drive train cooling circuit radiator
• The controlled air inlet module
• The front bumper frame
• The front bumper upper frame
• The front bumper
• The front bumper deflector
• The front mud guards
• The under-engine protector
• The front wheels
• The vehicle to its wheels

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Reconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure ).

Fill and bleed the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .

5. Check

Start the engine.

Check the sealing of the engine cooling circuit.
