1. Brake disc - Brake drum - Brake pads - Brake shoes

2. Vacuum pump
N.B. : Engine at idle.
Performance criteria concerning the vacuum pumps :
- The minimum vacuum must be 850 mbars
- The vacuum of 800 mbars must be reached in 30 seconds maximum

4. Check: Brake fluid
CAUTION : Brake fluid is highly corrosive to paintwork. If any is projected onto the bodywork, clean the surface immediately.

4.2. Check
Remove the brake fluid reservoir filter.
ESSENTIAL : Any contamination of the brake fluid is forbidden. The brake fluid should be clear and free from sediments or floating substances.
Check the fluid, following the instructions provided by the equipment supplier.
ESSENTIAL : Use only approved and recommended hydraulic fluids.
CAUTION : The fluid DOT5 is not compatible with DOT3, DOT4, DOT4 + and DOT5.1.
N.B. : The fluids DOT3, DOT4, DOT4+ and DOT5.1 are compatible.
N.B. : The DOT4+ brake fluid (low viscosity) is particularly suitable for vehicles fitted with a ABS / ESP hydraulic block.
