Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Charging socket unit

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Parts which must always be replaced

Bolt (Charging socket unit / Body) (*)	3
(*) Always to be replaced whenever removed

2. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power off .

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Remove :

• The rear left-hand wheel
• The rear left-hand mud guard
• The left-hand rear underbody guard

Open the charging flap.

3. Removing

Unclip the charging socket unit trim (1) (at "a") ; Using an Allen key.

Undo the charging socket unit (3) bolts (2).

Detach the charging socket unit (3) (at "b" and "c") (In the direction of the arrow ).

Disconnect the connector (at "d").

Unclip :

• The charging socket unit (3) electrical harness (at "e", "f")
• The charging socket unit (3) electrical power harness (at "g")

Unclip the charging socket unit (3) electrical power harness (at "h").

ESSENTIAL : Carry out the procedure for disconnecting the electric power circuit connectors .

CAUTION : Do not open the hybrid drive train cooling circuit.

Remove the nut (5).

Move aside the earth wire (at "l").

Unplug :

• The connectors (at "k")
• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly power connector (at "j")

Remove :

• Nut (4)
• The charging socket unit (3)

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Tightening torques :

• Components of the hybrid drive train
• Wheels

Refit the charging socket unit (3).

ESSENTIAL : Carry out the procedure for reconnecting the electric power circuit connectors .

Reconnect :

• The on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly power connector (at "j")
• The connectors (at "k")

Refit :

• The earth wire (at "l")
• Nut (5)
• Nut (4)

Clip the charging socket unit (3) electrical power harness (at "h").

Reconnect the connector (at "d").

Clip :

• The charging socket unit (3) electrical harness (at "e", "f")
• The charging socket unit (3) electrical power harness (at "g")

Refit :

• The charging socket unit (3) (at "b" and "c")
• The new charging socket unit (3) bolts (2)

Reclip the charging socket unit (3) trim (1) (at "a") ; Using an Allen key.

5. Additional operations

Close the charging flap.

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Refit :

• The rear left-hand mud guard
• The rear left-hand wheel
• The left-hand rear underbody guard

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power on .

Return the vehicle to its wheels.
