Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Traction battery cooling circuit coolant pump

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Location

(1) Traction battery cooling circuit coolant pump.

2. Preliminary operations

Put the vehicle on a lift.

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.

Remove :

• The under-engine protector
• The exhaust flexible hose

Drain the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .

3. Removing

Remove :

• The bolts (2)
• The support (3)

Detach and move aside :

• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (4)
• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (5)

Disconnect the connector  (at "a").

Remove the nut (6).

Open the fixing clamp (7) (Upwards ).

Remove the traction battery cooling circuit coolant pump (1).

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

Tightening torques :

• Exhaust line
• Hybrid drive train cooling circuit

Refit :

• The traction battery cooling circuit coolant pump (1)
• The fixing clamp (7)
• Nut (6)

Reconnect the connector  (at "a").

Couple up :

• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (4)
• The traction battery cooling circuit pipe (5)

Refit :

• The support (3)
• The bolts (2)

5. Additional operations

Refit :

• The exhaust flexible hose
• The under-engine protector
• The vehicle to its wheels

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.

Fill and bleed the hybrid drive train cooling circuit .
