Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Battery charge status unit

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Description

(1) Battery charge status unit.

(2) Ancillaries battery negative terminal (The earth cable fixing terminal may be different depending on where the ancillaries battery is located ).

N.B. : The battery charge status unit (1) incorporates a voltage sensor and a current sensor.

2. Preliminary operations

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required before disconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.

3. Removing

Disconnect the battery charge status unit (1) connector(at "b").

Unclip(at "a").

Remove the nut (4).

Disconnect the negative terminal (2) of the ancillaries battery .

Unscrew the nut (3).

Remove the ancillaries battery charge status unit (1).

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Refit the ancillaries battery charge status control unit (1).

Tighten the nut (3).

Reconnect the negative terminal (2) of the ancillaries battery .

Refit the nut ( 4).

Clip(at "a").

Reconnect the battery charge status unit (1) connector(at "b").

5. Additional operations

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries.

6. Programming - initialisation

CAUTION : In the event of replacement : Perform a configuration of the battery charge status control unit ; Using the diagnostic tool.
