Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Electric power circuit connectors

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Tooling

Workshop equipment :

• An insulating pad
• Insulating pads

2. Preliminary operation

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power off .

3. Electric air conditioning compressor

3.1. Disconnection

Method of operation :

• Slide the latch "a"(in the direction of the arrow )
• Press the tabs (at "c")

Disconnect the power connector(at "b").

Place the electrical power circuit connector in an insulating bag.

3.2. Connection

Remove the insulating bag ‎.

Reconnect the power connector(at "b").

Slide the latch "a"(fully).

4. Electric coolant heater

4.1. Disconnection

Method of operation :

• Slide the latch "e"(in the direction of the arrow )
• Press(at "f")
• Disconnect the power connector ;At mid-travel
• Press(at "d")

Disconnect the power connector.

Place the electrical power circuit connector in an insulating bag.

4.2. Connection

Remove the insulating bag ‎.

Reconnect the power connector.

Slide the latch (at "e").

5. Traction battery

5.1. Disconnection

Separate the tongue (at "h")(in the direction of the arrow ).

Slacken the bolt (1).

Disconnect the power connector(at "g").

Method of operation :

• Slide the latch "j"(in the direction of the arrow )
• Press on the lug (at "l")

Disconnect the power connector(at "k").

Method of operation :

• Slide the latch "m"(in the direction of the arrow )
• Press the tabs (at "p")

Disconnect the power connector(at "n").

Fit an insulating pad between the traction battery electrical power connectors and the traction battery.

Place each traction battery electrical power circuit connector in an insulating bag(at "g", "k", "n").

5.2. Connection

Remove the insulating bags(at "g", "k","n").

Remove the insulating pad.

Reconnect the power connector(at "g").

Retighten the bolt (1).

Lock the latch (at "h").

Reconnect the power connector(at "k").

Slide the latch (at "j").

Reconnect the power connector(at "n").

Slide the latch "m"(fully).

6. On-board charger/direct voltage transformer assembly

6.1. Disconnection

Method of operation :

• Slide the latch "q"(in the direction of the arrow )
• Press the tabs (at "s")

Disconnect the power connector(at "r").

Place the electrical power circuit connector in an insulating bag(at "r").

6.2. Connection

Remove the insulating bag ‎(at "r").

Reconnect the power connector(at "r").

Slide the latch "q"(fully).

6.3. Disconnection

Separate the tongue (at "u")(in the direction of the arrow ).

Slacken the bolt (2).

Disconnect the power connector(at "t").

Place the electrical power circuit connector in an insulating bag(at "t").

6.4. Connection

Remove the insulating bag ‎(at "t").

Reconnect the power connector(at "t").

Retighten the bolt (2).

Lock the latch (at "u").

6.5. Disconnection

Press on the tab(at "w").

Press on the lug (at "x").

Unlock the lever (in the direction of the arrow )(at "v").

Disconnect the power connector(at "v").

Place the electrical power circuit connector in an insulating bag(at "v").

6.6. Connection

Remove the insulating bag ‎(at "v").

Reconnect the power connector(at "v").

Lock the lever ‎(at "x").

Lock the latch (at "w").

7. Additional operations

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power on .

CAUTION : All power connectors must be locked correctly : Risk of fault codes appearing in the hybrid control ECU.

N.B. : Check the absence of faults ; Using the diagnostic tool.
