Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Electric drive train cooling circuit solenoid valves

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Tooling

2. 2-way solenoid valve

2.1. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

Remove :

• The electric drive machine cover
• The under-body protection

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power off .

Move aside the on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly .

2.2. Removing

Position the tools [4153-T].

Detach and move aside :

• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(1)
• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(5)

Disconnect the connector (at "a").

Remove :

• The nuts (2) and (4)
• The 2-way solenoid valve (3)

2.3. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Refit :

• The 2-way solenoid valve (3)
• The nuts (2) and (4)

Reconnect the connector (at "a").

Couple up :

• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(5)
• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(1)

Remove the tools [4153-T].

2.4. Additional operations

Refit the on-board charger /direct voltage transformer assembly .

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power on .

Degas the electric drive train cooling circuit .

Refit :

• The under-body protection
• The electric drive machine cover
• The vehicle to its wheels

3. 3-way solenoid valve

3.1. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

Disconnect the ancillaries battery.

Remove :

• The front right-hand wheel
• The front right mud-shield
• The under-body protection

3.2. Removing

Disconnect the connector (at "b").

Position the tools [4153-T].

Detach and move aside :

• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(6)
• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(7)
• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(8)

Refit :

• The bolts (10) and (11)
• The 3-way solenoid valve (9)

3.3. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

Refit :

• The 3-way solenoid valve (9)
• The bolts (10) and (11)

Couple up :

• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(8)
• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(7)
• The electric drive train cooling circuit pipe ‎(6)

Reconnect the connector (at "b").

Remove the tools [4153-T].

3.4. Additional operations

Refit :

• The under-body protection
• The front right mud-shield
• The front right-hand wheel
• The vehicle to its wheels

Degas the electric drive train cooling circuit .

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

Reconnect the ancillaries battery .
