Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Electric drive train cooling circuit radiator

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required before disconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Disconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure ).

Drain the electric drive train cooling circuit .

Remove :

• The fan assembly
• The front bumper upper frame
• The controlled air inlet module

2. Removing

CAUTION : Do not open the air conditioning fluid circuit.

Lift the air conditioning condenser (1)/radiator assembly for the electric drive train cooling system by several centimetres(in the direction of the arrow ).

Disengage the contacts ‎(at "a","b").

CAUTION : Do not damage the air conditioning condenser fins (3).

Disconnect the air conditioning condenser (3) from the radiator (2) for the electric drive train cooling system(at "c" and "d") (In the direction of the arrows ).

Disengage the air conditioning condenser ‎(3) tabs ‎(at "e").

Move aside the air conditioning condenser ( 3)(in the direction of the arrow ).

Remove the electric drive train cooling circuit radiator ‎ (2).

3. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

Tightening torques :

• Components of the air conditioning circuit
• Cooling system

CAUTION : Do not damage the air conditioning condenser fins (3).

Refit the electric drive train cooling circuit radiator ‎ (2).

Engage the air conditioning condenser tabs (3)(at "e").

Connect the air conditioning condenser (3) to the radiator (2) for the electric drive train cooling system(at "c" and "d") (In the direction of the arrows ).

Refit the air conditioning condenser /radiator (2) assembly for the electric drive train cooling system(at "a","b").

4. Additional operations

Refit :

• The controlled air inlet module
• The front bumper upper frame
• The fan assembly

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Reconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure ).

Degas the electric drive train cooling circuit .

Return the vehicle to its wheels.
