3. Precautions to be taken
ESSENTIAL : With the engine hot : Wait at least one hour before carrying out any work on the exhaust line.
The exhaust line must never be suspended, without support, from the hose.
The front hose (1) must be protected against any mechanical attack from outside.
The front hose (1) must not come into contact with corrosive products.
Do not distort the front hose by more than 20° angular "X", 20 mm axial and 25 mm in shear "Y".
The front hose cannot withstand any deformation ("X" and "Y") when it is in place.
CAUTION : Failure to observe these precautions results in a reduction of the service life of the front hose ; It is imperative that the exhaust line is uncoupled or removed when carrying out operations which involve lifting of the engine-gearbox assembly.
4. Exhaust rear silencer
4.1. Removing
Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.
CAUTION : Position the lifting tool under the intermediate exhaust silencer .

Remove the bolts (2), (4).
N.B. : Lowering the rear exhaust silencer (3) makes the cutting zone accessible.
Cut the exhaust pipe (at "a") ; Using the tool [0162 / CH-6614].
Remove the exhaust rear silencer (3).
4.2. Refitting
MHEV DRIVE TRAIN
CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .
CAUTION : Replace the faulty exhaust flexible mountings.
Refit :
Centre the exhaust line .
Tighten :
Remove the lifting tool.
Check :
Return the vehicle to its wheels.
5. Intermediate exhaust silencer
5.1. Removing
Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.
Remove the under-engine protector.
CAUTION : Position the lifting tool under the intermediate exhaust silencer .

5.2. Refitting
CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .
Refit :
Tighten the nuts (9).
Refit :
Remove the lifting tool.
Check the sealing of the assembly.
Return the vehicle to its wheels.
6. Front exhaust hose
6.1. Removing
Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.
Remove the under-engine protector.
Remove :
6.2. Refitting
CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .
Refit :
Remove the tools [0193-A / EN-52204], [0193-B].
Check the sealing of the assembly.
Return the vehicle to its wheels.
