Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Electric coolant heater

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Tooling

2. Preliminary operations

Put the vehicle on a lift.

Remove the electric drive machine cover.

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power off .

3. Removing

ESSENTIAL : Carry out the procedure for disconnecting the electric power circuit connectors .

Disconnect :

• The connectors  (at "d")
• The power connector (at "c")

Unclip the electrical harness (at "a", "b").

Disconnect the connector (at "g").

Position the tools [1512] (at "e", "f").

Uncouple the electric coolant heater ‎ pipes ‎(1).

Plug the electric coolant heater ‎ pipes ‎(1) ; Using cleanliness plugs.

Remove :

• The nuts (3)
• The electric coolant heater ‎(4) and the earth cable ‎(2) (in the direction of the arrow )

Remove the earth cable (2) nut (5).

Move the earth cable (2) aside.

Remove the electric coolant heater (4).

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Refit :

• The electric coolant heater (4)
• The earth cable (2)
• Nut (5)
• The nuts (3)

Remove the tools [1512] (at "e", "f").

Couple the electric coolant heater ‎(4) pipes ‎(1).

Clip the electrical harness (at "d", "f", "h").

ESSENTIAL : Carry out the procedure for reconnecting the electric power circuit connectors .

Reconnect :

• The power connector (at "c")
• The connectors  (at "d")
• The connector (at "g")

Clip the electrical harness (at "a", "b").

5. Additional operations

ESSENTIAL : Switch the vehicle’s power on .

Degas the electric drive train cooling circuit .

Refit :

• The electric drive machine cover
• The vehicle to its wheels
