Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Rear seat belts

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : Apply the airbag safety procedures .

ESSENTIAL : Apply the procedure for switching off the central airbag system .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

CAUTION : Carefully unlock and disconnect the connectors ; When connecting, check the routing and clipping of the electrical harnesses.

CAUTION : Disconnecting the connectors has to be done without exerting any stress on the electrical harnesses or the connectors (No pulling is allowed on the electrical harness).

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries (depending on equipment).

Remove :

• The rear benchseat cushion
• The rear quarter panel trim
• The rear door sill trim

4. Removing

4.1. Rear side safety belts

4.2. Seatbelt stalks

4.3. Rear centre seat belt

Remove the rear centre seat belt (2) .

5. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal.

6. Additional operations

Refit :

• The rear door sill trim
• The rear quarter panel trim
• The rear benchseat cushion

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Rebrancher la ou les batteries de servitude (suivant équipement).

ESSENTIAL : Apply the procedure for switching on the centralised airbag system .

Switch on the ignition.

Check the operation of the "airbags" warning lamp on the instrument panel.

N.B. : The warning lamp comes on for 6 to 8 seconds then goes off.

If the warning lamp does not switch off, read the fault codes.

Check the operation of the various equipment.
