Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Rear bench seat

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness instructions .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Replacement of parts in all cases

2. Tooling

	[1383 - A]	Unclipping tool
(*) Use standard workshop equipment if the special tool is not available

3. Preliminary operations

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries (depending on equipment).

4. Removing

4.1. Rear bench seat cushion (Monobloc)

N.B. : Slide the front seats as forward as possible.

N.B. : Apply vertical force during the rear bench seat unclipping operation .

Unclip the left-hand retaining clip (1) from the rear bench seat ( Rear part ) (at "a" and "b") ; Using the tool [1383-A].

N.B. : Apply vertical force during the rear bench seat unclipping operation .

N.B. : After unclipping : Insert a hammer between the rear bench seat and the rear floor.

Unclip the left-hand retaining clip (1) from the rear bench seat ( Front part ) (at "c" and "d") ; Using the tool [1383-A].

Carry out the same operations for the 2 other rear retaining clips on the rear bench seat .

Remove the rear bench seat (2).

Remove the 3 retaining clips (1) from the rear bench seat ; Using the tool [1383-A].

Discard these parts.

4.2. Seat back of the rear bench seat (1/3 - 2/3)

Release the cable (3) (at "e").

Release the cable end (3a) from its mounting.

Unclip the cable (3) (at "f") ; Using the tool [1350-ZZ].

Remove the bolts (4) and (6).

Remove the rear seat crossmember (5).

Release the cable (8) (at "h").

Release the cable end (8a) from its mounting.

Unclip the cable (8) (at "g") ; Using the tool [1350-ZZ].

Remove the bolts (7) and (9).

Remove the rear seat crossmember (10).

Remove the seat back (11) of the rear bench seat (1/3 - 2/3).

5. Refitting

5.1. Seat back of the rear bench seat (1/3 - 2/3)

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal.

5.2. Rear bench seat cushion (Monobloc)

CAUTION : The notch in the retaining clip on the rear bench seat must be pointing towards the front of the vehicle.

N.B. : Check that the rear bench seat retaining clips (1) are secure in their supports .

Fit the 3 new retaining clips (1) to the rear bench seat .

6. Additional operations

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries (depending on equipment).

7. Check

Check the operation of the various equipment.
