ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations

1. Parts required
Replace (In the event of impacts and following each triggering) :
- The special gas generator connectors must be replaced if they are damaged
- The airbags and pretensioners ECU
- The components listed in the "Compulsory replacements" column (depending on equipment)

N.B. : If the vehicle is fitted with 2 chest side airbags (front and rear), replace the 2 airbags even if one of the airbags has not been triggered.
3. Visual methods for checking whether a component has been deployed
3.1. Pyrotechnic seat belt inertia reel(s)
The triggering of a pyrotechnic seat belt inertia reel is indicated by :
- Lighting of the side airbag warning light on the instrument panel
- A fault code recorded and read using the diagnostic equipment
- A characteristic noise of balls noticed following removal of the inertia reel
3.2. Passenger’s airbag deactivation switch
The status of the disarming switch for the passenger airbag is activated in the on position, or de-activated in the off position, by means of the ignition key :
- The on position triggers the airbag in the case of a frontal impact
- The displaying of this function is enhanced for use by an indicator light on the instrument panel
4. Instructions for replacement of parts
All parts to be destroyed outside of warranty will be triggered.
CAUTION : Any part still under warranty will be returned without being triggered, observe the pyrotechnic component transport procedure.
5. Conditions for transporting explosive components
The parts must be transported in the packaging recovered during the replacement operation.
6. Check after repair
CAUTION : After any work performed on the central airbags system, carry out a fault reading with the diagnostic equipment .
