3. Preliminary operations
CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.
Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries (depending on equipment).
Remove the headlining.
4. Removing
ESSENTIAL : If there is a problem on one of the ball joints of one of the electric struts, do not stand in line with the electric strut during decompression (Risk of injury). Before carrying out any operation to replace the electric strut, open the boot fully to allow the spring to decompress. Start with the motorised tailgate electric strut ball joint on the body side, then continue with the electric strut ball joint on the motorised tailgate side.
5. Refitting
CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.
Proceed in the reverse order to removal.
6. Adjustment
CAUTION : Adjust the fits and clearances.
The motorised tailgate can be further adjusted by adjusting the striker
(if necessary).
7. Additional operations
Refit the headlining .
CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries (depending on equipment).
8. Check
Check the operation of the various equipment.
