Peugeot 308: Checking : Low pressure fuel supply circuit

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Tooling

N.B. : The pressure gauge [1529] and the corresponding adaptor can be used in place of the pressure gauge indicated (*).

2. Preliminary operation

Remove the engine cover .

3. Removing

CAUTION : When disconnecting the fuel supply pipe , use a cloth to protect yourself from any fuel splashes.

Uncouple the fuel supply pipe (In "a").

4. Check

ESSENTIAL : When disconnecting the tools [1529-A1], [1529-A2], [1529-Q1], [1604-B], protect yourself with a cloth to prevent any fuel splashes.

Connect tool [1529-A1], [1529-A2], [1529-Q1] to tool [1604-B].

Connect tool [1604-B] to the fuel supply pipe and to the high-pressure fuel common rail (At "b" and "c").

Start the engine.

Take the pressure : Using the tool [1529-A2].

Compare the values of the pressures read .

Switch off the engine.

N.B. : If the value noted is incorrect, search for the origin of the problem.

5. Refitting

ESSENTIAL : When disconnecting the tools [1529-A1], [1529-A2], [1529-Q1], [1604-B] protect yourself with a cloth to prevent any fuel splashes.

CAUTION : Obtain a receptacle to recover the fuel.

Remove the tools [1529-A1], [1529-A2], [1529-Q1], [1604-B].

Connect the fuel supply pipe (In "a").

6. Additional operations

Prime the fuel circuit : Switch the ignition on and off 2 times.

Start the engine.

Check that there are no leaks.

Switch off the engine.

Refit the engine cover .

Check : Fuel high pressure supply circuit (Petrol engine )Load : 48 V traction battery
