Peugeot 308: Switching on : Electric vehicle

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

CAUTION : Only that person who has done the powering-down is allowed to perform the powering-up stage.

N.B. : Traction circuit: traction battery electrical network.

1. Tooling

2. Switching on

2.1. Reconnection of the traction battery connectors

Put the vehicle on a lift.

ESSENTIAL : Put on insulating gloves and a hard hat with visor (visor lowered).

N.B. : Remove the insulating pad from the base of the traction battery rapid charge electrical power circuit connector.

Reconnect the traction battery rapid charge electrical power circuit connector (at "a").

Lock the traction battery rapid charge electrical power circuit connector (at "b").

N.B. : Remove the insulating pad from the base of the traction battery power switch connector.

ESSENTIAL : Carry out the procedure for reconnecting the electric power circuit connectors .

Reconnect the electric drive machine electrical power circuit connector (at "d").

Lock the connector (at "c").

Reconnect the connector (at "e").

Lock the connector (at "f").

Refit :

• The fixing bracket ‎(2)
• The bolt (1)
• The vehicle to its wheels

2.2. Check of the electrical power circuit insulation

ESSENTIAL : Connect the tool [CTRL-ISOL / EL-50774] (Following the manufacturer’s instructions).

CAUTION : Measure the insulation ; Using an insulation tester [CTRL-ISOL / EL-50774] calibrated to 500 V V.

Disconnect the electrical power circuit connector (at "g").

Position the tool [12125-C] by connecting the harness adapters [12125-A] and [12125-B] (at "g").

Electric drive machine electrical power circuit connector insulation checking method :

• Place the tool’s [12125-C] positive probe (at "j") on the electrical power circuit connector
• Place the tool’s [12125-C] negative probe (at "h") on the electrical power circuit connector
• Check that the resistance value is higher than 2 megaohms

ESSENTIAL : The resistance value must be more than 2 megaohms. in the event of failure, stop the procedure and escalate the issue to the technical platform.

Electric drive machine electrical power circuit connector insulation checking method :

• Place the tool’s [12125-C] positive probe (at "k") on the electrical power circuit connector
• Place the tool’s [12125-C] negative probe (at "h") on the electrical power circuit connector
• Check that the resistance value is higher than 2 megaohms

ESSENTIAL : The resistance value must be more than 2 megaohms. in the event of failure, stop the procedure and escalate the issue to the technical platform.

Remove the tool [12125-C] by disconnecting the harness adapters [12125-A] and [12125-B] (at "g").

Reconnect the electrical power circuit connector (at "g").

CAUTION : All the high voltage connectors must be correctly locked on (Fault codes may appear in the electric drive train supervisor ECU).

N.B. : Remove insulating gloves and hard hat with visor.

2.3. Ancillaries batteries

Remove the insulating bag ‎ from the positive terminal ‎(2) of the ancillaries battery ‎(1).

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

Reconnect the positive terminal (4) of the ancillaries battery (3).

Remove :

• The locking disc
• The padlock

Circuit breaker connector (e-service plug) locking procedure :

• Lift the circuit breaker (5) tab (at "l") ; Using a thin screwdriver
• Simultaneously press the tab (at "n") and push the locking part (at "m") (In the direction of the arrow )

3. Checking

Action the ignition to position "READY".

Check that the warning lamp "READY" lights up in the instrument panel.

CAUTION : Check the absence of faults ; Using the diagnostic tool.

Take the warning signs off the vehicle.
