CAUTION : The brake caliper bolts are not always replaced with new bolts ; If the bolts are reused, clean the thread and apply thread lock index "E3" .

3. Preliminary operations
Raise and chock the vehicle at mid-height (Front wheels suspended).
Remove the front wheel.
Place a bleed pipe on the slave cylinder of the brake hose to be removed.
Dip the pipe in the receptacle.
Open the bleeder.
Place the pedal press on the brake pedal in order to prevent the discharge of any brake fluid when disconnecting the brake pipes.
Close the bleeder.
Remove and drain the pipe and the receptacle.
4. Removing
4.1. Front brake caliper
CAUTION : Never separate the front brake hose from its support (In "a") ; Risk of seriously damaging the brake hose.
N.B. : Prepare for the flow of brake fluid.
Uncouple the front brake hose (In "b").
Remove :
N.B. : The brake pads, on the wheel inner side, are clipped into the piston of the brake caliper (2).
4.2. Front brake caliper bracket

5. Cleaning
ESSENTIAL : Do not use compressed air to clean the brakes.
5.1. First possibility
Clean the brake disc and caliper (2) ; With a recommended brake cleaning product.
Leave to drip dry.
Wipe with a paper towel :

Use dust removal equipment approved by the manufacturer .
6. Check
Visually check :
Replace any defective parts.
CAUTION : No trace of grease, oil or lubricant can be tolerated on the brake pads.
7. Refitting
CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques.

7.1. Front brake caliper bracket
CAUTION : Clean the threads of the bolts (3).
Refit :
7.2. Front brake caliper
Push the brake caliper piston fully back into its housing ; Using a piston pushing tool.
N.B. : Place spacer between the tool and the brake pad to push the piston right back into its housing.
CAUTION : The brake caliper bolts (2) are not always replaced with new bolts ; If the bolts (2) are reused, clean the thread and apply thread lock index "E3" .
Refit :
Couple the brake hose to the brake caliper (2) (In "b").
8. Additional operations
Visually inspect the routing and condition of the brake hoses and pipes.
Clean any splashes of fluid from the surrounding area.
Remove the pedal press .
Fill and bleed the braking circuit.
Refit :
