Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Drive shaft seals

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

1. Tooling

2. Removing

MB6 TYPE GEARBOX

Drain the gearbox .

Remove :

• The driveshafts
• The driveshaft seals ; Using a tool without a sharp edge

3. Refitting

Oil the driveshaft seals.

Refit :

• The left-hand driveshaft seal ; Using the tool [0317-T / 7114-T.W / AE-0356-A / DT-52197]
• The right-hand driveshaft seal ; Using the tool [0317-U / 7144-T.X / AE-0356-B / DT-52171]

N.B. : Put grease in the gap between the lips of the drive shaft seal.

Refit the driveshafts.

MB6 TYPE GEARBOX

Fill the gearbox with oil and ensure the level is correct .
