Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Hybrid automatic gearbox ECU

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Parts which must always be replaced

2. Tooling

Workshop equipment : Diagnostic tool.

3. Preliminary operations

CAUTION : Put the sequential gear lever in the "Neutral position (Engine running).

CAUTION : When replacing the hybrid automatic gearbox ECU, read the oil wear counter value (Follow the diagnostic tool procedure).

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required before disconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Disconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure).

Remove the engine cover .

4. Removing

Uncouple :

• The oil vapours recirculation pipe (at "a")
• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "b")
• The oil vapours recirculation pipe (at "d")

Disconnect the connector (at "c").

Slacken the clips (2), (3).

Remove the turbocharger air inlet duct ‎(1).

Unscrew thte bolt (5) without removing it.

Uncouple the air inlet union (4) (at "e", "f").

Remove :

• The air inlet union (4)
• The air inlet resonator

Disconnect the connector (at "g").

Remove :

• The 2 nuts (7)
• The fixing bracket ‎(6)

Remove :

• The 3 bolts (9)
• The hybrid automatic gearbox ECU (8)

Disconnect the electrical harness ‎ connector inside the hybrid automatic gearbox ‎.

Remove the electrical harness ‎ connector seal ‎.

5. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

5.1. Electrical harness ‎ connector seal ‎

Fit the new electrical harness ‎ connector seal ‎(10) (at "k").

Check :

• The electrical harness connector ‎ condition
• The positioning of the electrical harness ‎ connector in the hybrid automatic gearbox ‎ housing ‎ (Locating tab "h" in the notch "j")

5.2. Hybrid automatic gearbox ECU

Precautions to be taken :

• Check that the gear selection shaft (11) is in the neutral position
• Align the ‎2 markings on the "Neutral" position of the hybrid automatic gearbox ‎ ECU ‎(8)

N.B. : The new hybrid automatic gearbox ‎ ECU ‎(8) is delivered in the "Neutral position".

CAUTION : When refitting the hybrid automatic gearbox ECU, correctly position the connector with the base of the harness on the hybrid automatic gearbox to avoid damage to the pin switches.

Refit :

• The hybrid automatic gearbox ECU (8) (Locating tabs ‎"l", "p" in the notches ‎"m", "n")
• The 3 bolts (9)

Reconnect the connector (at "g").

Refit :

• The fixing bracket ‎(6)
• The 2 nuts (7)
• The air inlet resonator

Couple the air inlet union (4) (at "e", "f").

Refit :

• The bolt (5)
• The turbocharger air inlet duct (1)

Tighten the clips (2), (3).

Reconnect the connector (at "c").

Couple up :

• The oil vapours recirculation pipe (at "a")
• The fuel vapour re-induction pipe (at "b")
• The oil vapours recirculation pipe (at "d")

6. Additional operations

Refit the engine cover .

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Reconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure).

7. Check

Check that all the gears change.

When replacing the hybrid automatic gearbox ‎ ECU ‎(8), perform the following operations :

• Record the oil wear counter ‎ value in the new hybrid automatic gearbox ‎ ECU ‎(8)
• Initialise the auto-adaptive values
• Programme the electrovalves and the oil pressure regulators
• Programme the "Neutral" position of the sequential gear level ‎
