Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Oil temperature sensor

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

1. Replacement of parts in all cases

2. Removing

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

Disconnect the ancillaries battery.

Remove the air filter housing assembly.

Unclip and move aside the electrical harnesses from the mounting .

Remove :

• The bolts (1)
• The support (2)

Lift and support the vehicle.

Remove the under-engine protector .

Drain the gearbox oil .

N.B. : The hydraulic block housing (4) is fitted using jointing paste.

N.B. : The hydraulic block housing (4) contains approximately 0,5 litre of oil.

Remove :

• The bolts (3)
• The hydraulic block housing (4)

Unplug :

• The solenoid valve connectors (at "a") ; Using a thin screwdriver
• The connectors of the speed sensors (at "b")

Unclip the electrical harness (at "c").

Remove :

• The bolt (7)
• The bracket (5)
• The oil temperature sensor (6)

N.B. : The oil temperature sensor (6) is integral with the electrical harness .

Remove :

• The bolt (9)
• The bracket (8)

Remove :

• The clip (10)
• The electrical harness (11)

3. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

N.B. : To replace the oil temperature sensor (6), replace all the harness hydraulic block .

Refit :

• The seals (12), (13) (new)
• The electrical harness (11)

Position the electrical harness (at "e").

Refit :

• The clip (10)
• The bracket (8)
• The bolt (9)
• The oil temperature sensor (6)
• The bracket (5)
• The bolt (7)

CAUTION : Check the positioning and the fixings of the electrical harness (11).

Clip the electrical harness (at "c").

Connect :

• The connectors of the speed sensors (at "b")
• The solenoid valve connectors (at "a")

Refit :

• The hydraulic block housing (4) (equipped with a new seal)
• The bolts (3)
• The under-engine protector
• The vehicle to its wheels
• The support (2)
• The bolts (1)

Fasten the electrical harnesses attaching to the support (2).

Refit the air filter housing assembly.

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

Reconnect the ancillaries battery .

Return the vehicle to its wheels.

Perform the following operations :

• Filling and topping up of the automatic gearbox oil
• Adaptation programming procedure of the oil pressure solenoid valves and regulators (If the hydraulic block is replaced)
