Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : " PANHARD" type rear bar

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Preliminary operation

Put the vehicle on a lift.

2. Removing

Remove :

• The 2 bolts (2)
• The rear crossmember protectors (1)
• The rear suspension springs

Position a component lift under the rear crossmember (at "a").

Remove :

• The bolts (3), (5)
• The "PANHARD" type rear bar (4)

3. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Refit(without tightening) :

• The "PANHARD" type rear bar (4)
• The bolts (3), (5)

Position a component lift under the rear crossmember .

Slightly compress the rear suspension to obtain a dimension "A".

Position the rear suspension at the tightening dimension "A" = 217 mm.

Tighten the bolts (3), (5) to the specified torque.

Remove the component lift.

Refit :

• The rear suspension springs
• The rear crossmember protectors (1)
• The 2 bolts (2)

CAUTION : Check whether the removed component(s) require(s) an adjustment of the suspension geometry .

4. Additional operation

Return the vehicle to its wheels.
