Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Rear suspension flexible mountings

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Tooling

Workshop equipment : 2-legged extractor.

2. Preliminary operation

Remove the rear suspension .

3. Removing

Remove :

• Nut (2)
• The bolt (3)
• The yoke (1)

Position the 2-legged extractor and the tool [0631-K] on the hub of the rear suspension flexible mounting (4).

Extract the rear suspension flexible mounting (4).

Remove the 2-legged extractor and the tool [0631-K].

4. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the positioning of the rear suspension flexible mounting (4).

CAUTION : Make a mark (at "a") along the length of the rear suspension flexible mounting (4) from the horizontal axis of the suspension arm inner ring (at "b").

CAUTION : Align the mark (at "a") on the rear suspension flexible mounting (4) and the recess (at "c") on the suspension arm.

Fit the tools [0548-G3], [0548-F] on the hub of the rear suspension flexible mounting (4).

Pre-coat the flexible mounting (4) with grease used for fitting tyres.

Position all the tools [0548-G3], [0548-F] and the rear suspension flexible mounting (4) in the suspension arm.

Tighten the nut of the tool [0548-F] until the rear suspension flexible mounting (4) is at the stop.

Remove all the tools [0548-G3], [0548-F].

Refit :

• The yoke (1)
• The bolt (3)
• Nut (2) (Without tightening it)

5. Additional operation

Refit the rear suspension .
