Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Cylinder reference sensor

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Location

(1) Inlet cylinder reference sensor.

(2) Exhaust cylinder reference sensor.

2. Preliminary operations

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required prior to a disconnection of the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Disconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries(depending on equipment).

3. Exhaust cylinder reference sensor

3.1. Removing

Remove the engine cover .

Uncouple the fuel vapours recirculation pipe (3)(at "a", "b")(depending on equipment).

Slacken the clip (4).

Remove the air inlet union (5).

Remove :

• The bolts (6)
• The turbocharger outlet air union (7)

Remove the protector (8)(depending on equipment).

Disconnect the connector (at "c").

Remove :

• The bolt (9) (Captive bolt )
• The exhaust cylinder reference sensor (2)

3.2. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

CAUTION : Lubricate the seal of the exhaust cylinder reference sensor (2) with engine oil.

Refit :

• The exhaust cylinder reference sensor (2)
• The bolt (9)

Reconnect the connector  (at "c").

Refit :

• The protector (8)(depending on equipment)
• The turbocharger outlet air union (7)
• The bolts (6)
• The air inlet union (5)

Tighten the clip (4).

Couple the fuel vapours recirculation pipe (3)(at "a", "b")(depending on equipment).

Refit the engine cover .

4. Inlet cylinder reference sensor

4.1. Removing

Remove the air filter housing .

Disconnect the connector (at "d").

Remove :

• The bolt (10) (Captive bolt )
• The inlet cylinder reference sensor (1)

4.2. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

CAUTION : Lubricate the seal of the inlet cylinder reference sensor (1) with engine oil.

Refit :

• The inlet cylinder reference sensor (1)
• The bolt (10)

Reconnect the connector  (at "d").

Refit the air filter housing .

5. Additional operations

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries battery .

CAUTION : In the case of a vehicle with 2 batteries, carry out the specific operations for disconnecting and reconnecting the ancillaries batteries.

Reconnect the ancillaries battery or batteries(depending on equipment).

Clear the fault codes.
