Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Wheel trim (Alloy rim )

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Tooling

Workshop equipment : Wheel trim removal hook.

2. Removing

CAUTION : Do not use sharp tools (Risk of irreversible damage ).

Remove the wheel trim (1) (Caps ) ;Using the wheel trim removal hook(at "a").

3. Refitting

CAUTION : Do not use tools for the refitting.

CAUTION : Check that the front wheel trim (1) ring (2) is present and check its condition before refitting.

CAUTION : Check the condition of the 5 front wheel trim (1) ring (2) retaining clips (1a) before refitting.

CAUTION : Check that the front wheel trim (1) ring (2) is correctly positioned and clipped into place before refitting(at "b" and "c").

CAUTION : When refitting, do not tilt the wheel trim (1).

CAUTION : Risk of damage to the wheel trim (1) fixing system if the alignment is not correct when refitting.

Position and align the wheel trim (1) with the wheel bolts (3).

Clip the wheel trim (1) to the wheel rim (4) ; Apply manual force to the centre of the wheel trim (1).

Check that the wheel trim (1) is clipped into place.
