Peugeot 308: Removing - refitting : Wheel trim (Steel wheel )

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

CAUTION : When removing-refitting : Do not use tools.

1. Removing

Remove the wheel trim .

2. Refitting

CAUTION : Observe the positioning of the anti-theft wheel lock bolt (2) ; Risk of breaking the retaining clips equidistant from the wheel trim when refitting.

CAUTION : If an anti-theft wheel lock bolt (2) is present, the anti-theft bolt (2) must be positioned opposite the wheel valve (1).

Check the positioning of the anti-theft wheel lock bolt (2) (If present ).

CAUTION : Check that the front wheel trim (3) ring "a" is present and check its condition before refitting.

CAUTION : Check the condition of the 2 wheel trim (3) centring components "b" before refitting.

CAUTION : Check that the front wheel trim (3) ring "a" is correctly positioned and clipped into place before refitting(at "c").

CAUTION : Observe the positioning of the wheel valve (1) in relation to its housing on the wheel trim (3).

CAUTION : Check the alignment of the 2 centring components "b" with the wheel bolts (4).

CAUTION : Risk of breaking the centring components "b" and the retaining clips "c" if the alignment of the 2 centring components "b" is not correct.

Tilt the wheel trim (3).

Align the 2 centring components "b" with the wheel bolts (4).

Clip on the wheel trim (3) at the retaining clips (at "c") ; Apply manual force to the centre of the wheel trim (3).

Clip the wheel trim (3) into place(at ‎ "d", "e" and ‎"f") ; Apply manual force to the circumference of the wheel trim (3).

Check that the wheel trim (3) is clipped into place.
