Peugeot 308: Draining - filling - level : Hybrid double-clutch piloted manual gearbox

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles (observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Oil for piloted manual gearbox with hybrid double clutch : (index "B19") .

4. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

Remove :

• The under-engine protector (According to equipment)
• The turbocharger air inlet union
• The air inlet duct

5. Draining

CAUTION : The double-clutch piloted manual gearbox must be drained when the oil is hot (between 15 and 40°C), to eliminate the impurities suspended in the oil.

Uncouple the breather pipe (1) (at "a").

Remove the filler cap (2) ; Using a spanner Torx.

Remove the drain cap (3) ; Using a 6-sided wrench.

N.B. : Allow oil to flow out.

6. Filling

6.1. With replacement of the 2 oil filters

Fit a new drain cap ‎(3) ; Using a 6-sided wrench.

N.B. : Use tool [0340].

N.B. : Use only recommended products .

Filling volume in aftersales

Fill the gearbox via the filler cap (2).

Carry out the hydraulic de-aeration cycle ; Using the diagnostic tool (measuring of parameters using a diagnostic tool).

6.2. Without replacement of the 2 oil filters

Fit a new drain cap ‎(3) ; Using a 6-sided wrench.

N.B. : Use tool [0340].

N.B. : Use only recommended products .

Filling volume in aftersales

Fill the gearbox via the filler cap (2).

Carry out the hydraulic de-aeration cycle ; Using the diagnostic tool (measuring of parameters using a diagnostic tool).

7. Check the oil level

ESSENTIAL : The quantity of oil that flows out from the opening of the topping up plug (4) must be between 0,5 and 1 litre.

Remove the top-up cap (4).

N.B. : Allow oil to flow out.

N.B. : If there is no flow, start the topping up procedure again.

Refit :

• The new topping up plug (4)
• The new filler cap (2)

Couple up the breather pipe (1) (at "a").

Too high a fluid level can cause :

• Overheating of the fluid
• Fluid leaks

Too low a level causes destruction of the gearbox.

Refit :

• The under-engine protector
• The turbocharger air inlet union
• The air inlet duct
• The vehicle to its wheels
