Peugeot 308: Draining - filling : ML6C type manual gearbox

ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness recommendations .

N.B. : Use only recommended products.

gearbox oil : Index "B1" .

4. Draining

Put the vehicle on a lift.

Remove the under-engine protector .

Remove the drain plug (1) (fitted with its gasket).

Allow oil to flow out.

Refit the drain cap (1) fitted with a new seal.

5. Oil capacity

CAUTION : It is necessary to drain the gearbox and put back the exact quantity of oil, in the event of an external leak or a repair.

N.B. : The gearbox is lubricated "for life" and does not have a top-up cap : Visually check the sealing at each service visit.

6. Filling

CAUTION : Observe the tightening torques .

Remove :

• The engine cover (if necessary)
• The air filter housing (if necessary)

N.B. : Add the exact quantity of oil.

N.B. : Use only recommended products .

Refill the gearbox via the breather opening (at "a") ; Using the tool [0344].

Refit :

• The air filter housing (if necessary)
• The engine cover (if necessary)
• The under-engine protector
• The vehicle to its wheels
