ESSENTIAL : Observe the safety and cleanliness instructions .

ESSENTIAL : All personnel carrying out work on a vehicle fitted with traction batteries must have received specific electric vehicle training and be authorised to work on these vehicles(observe the regulations in force in the respective country).

1. Replacement of parts in all cases

Screw (Hydraulic block housing) 11
Seal (Hydraulic block housing) 1

2. Preliminary operations

Place the vehicle on a 2-post lift.

GEARBOX TYPE EATN8 AND PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required before disconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Disconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure).

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Remove the under-engine protector.

GEARBOX TYPE EATN8 AND PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Drain :

  • Hybrid drive train cooling circuit
  • The hybrid automatic gearbox

Remove :

  • The hybrid automatic gearbox ECU
  • Hybrid drive train cooling circuit electric coolant pump

3. Removing

3.1. Common operations

Uncouple and move aside the hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipes ‎(1)(at "a").

Remove the nut (3).

Uncouple and move aside the hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipes ‎(2)(at "b").

Remove :

  • The bolts (5) and (6)
  • The support (4)

Remove :

  • The 11 hydraulic block housing (7) bolts (8)
  • The hydraulic block housing (7)

3.2. Hydraulic block and solenoid valves

Disconnect the connectors (at "d") ; Using a thin screwdriver.

Release the electrical harness (at "c").

N.B. : The oil temperature sensors ‎(11) are integral with the electrical harness ‎.

Remove :

  • The bolts (9) and (13)
  • The 2 clamps (10), (12)

Move aside the oil temperature sensors ‎(11).

Keep the electrical harness ‎ on the housing ‎ of the hybrid automatic gearbox ‎ ; Using adhesive tapes.

Remove the bolts (14).

CAUTION : Handle the hydraulic block with care and protect it against any source of contamination.

CAUTION : When removing the hydraulic block (15), check that the spacer (16) of the hydraulic block (15) is present on the automatic gearbox or on the hydraulic block (15).

Remove the (15) hydraulic block.

3.3. Parking control unlocking solenoid

Release the electrical harness (at "c").

Disconnect the connector (at "e") ; Using a thin screwdriver.

Remove :

  • The bolt (17)
  • The parking control unlocking solenoid (18)

4. Refitting

4.1. Precautions to be taken before refitting (Hydraulic block and solenoid valves )

CAUTION : When refitting the hydraulic block (15), check that the seal (19) and the spacer (16) of the hydraulic block (15) are present on the automatic gearbox.

4.2. Hydraulic block and solenoid valves

CAUTION : Observe the order of tightening and the tightening torques .

Refit the hydraulic valve block .

CAUTION : Do not pinch the electrical harness ‎ of the speed sensors ‎.

Refit :

  • The bolts (14) (Tighten) Manually) (In the region of 1 to 10)
  • The oil temperature sensors ‎(11)
  • The 2 clamps (10), (12)
  • The bolts (9) and (13)

Retighten the bolts (14) to the correct torque (In the region of 1 to 10).

Clip the electrical harness (at "c").

Reconnect the connectors(at "d").

4.3. Parking control unlocking solenoid

CAUTION : Observe the order of tightening and the tightening torques .

Refit :

  • The parking control unlocking solenoid (18)
  • The bolt (17)

Reconnect the connector (at "e").

Clip on the electrical harness (at "c").

4.4. Common operations

Clean the contact surface ;Using a clean cloth.

CAUTION : Check the positioning and the fixings of the electrical harness .

Refit :

  • The hydraulic block housing (7)(equipped with a new seal)
  • The hydraulic block housing (7) bolts (8)
  • The support (4)
  • The bolts (5) and (6)

Couple the hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipes ‎(2)(at "b").

Refit the nut (3).

Couple the hybrid drive train cooling circuit pipes ‎(1)(at "a").

Return the vehicle to its wheels.

5. Additional operations

Refit :

  • The hybrid automatic gearbox ECU
  • Hybrid drive train cooling circuit electric coolant pump

GEARBOX TYPE EATN8 AND PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

CAUTION : Perform the operations that are required after reconnecting the ancillaries batteries .

Reconnect the ancillaries batteries (Following the specific procedure).

Perform the following operations :

  • Fill and bleed the hybrid drive train cooling circuit
  • Top up the hybrid automatic gearbox oil
  • Carry out adaptation programming of the oil pressure solenoid valves and regulators (If the hydraulic block is replaced)

PHEV DRIVE TRAIN

Refit the under-engine protector .
